Dorset Youth Wind Orchestra come to the Wiesensee lake.

The Dorset Youth Wind Orchestra from England played enthusing melodies at the Wiesensee lake and the weather god had mercy.

On their way to Würzburg the Dorset Youth Wind Orchestra made a stop in Hemsbach and arrived punctually at 11.00 a.m. at the Wiesensee. The reception committee consisting of Antje Polonio, Michaela Guthier and Walter Toewe greeted the young musicians aged between 14 and 18. First of all they were all invited to lunch in a nearby restaurant.

Strengthened and with renewed power the 64 dedicated young musicians proved to their expectant audience that the long hours of practice before the journey were worthwhile. The large audience was not disappointed! Conducted by Tom Forward the youth orchestra captured the enthusiasm of the public right from the first tune. Their repertoire included Big Band classics, film music and modern melodies. The long, heartfelt applause proved that the audience had enjoyed the swinging music of the concert.

In the meantime the orchestra is back in Dorset. Maybe the Partnerschaft Society can persuade them to come back to Hemsbach next year to stay and give a longer concert!

Aufmerksame Zuhörer Das Wetter hielt sich! Begeisterter Applaus ist gewiss!
